RECEIVED CALL REGARDING COMPLAINT OF HEAVY FUMES IN THE DINING ROOM FROM THE WORK BEING DONE ON THE ROOF. ARRIVED TO SEE A LARGE DUMPSTER AND A CRANE ON SITE SHOWING THAT SOME WORK WAS IN FACT BEING DONE ON THE ROOF. WENT IN AND SPOKE TO THE OWNER, LAMBROS AND ASKED ABOUT THE WORK BEING DONE AND IF THERE WAS ANY FUMES ENTERING IN THE BUILDING. HE DID STATE THAT THERE WERE SOME ODORS IN THE MORNING TIME AND HE HAD PLACED SOME FANS TO HELP CIRCULATE. I DID NOT NOTICE ANY TRACE OF THE ODOR WHEN I CAME TO DO MY INVESTIGATION AT 1PM. I STATED IF THERE IS WORK THAT HAS TO BE DONE WHILE HE IS OPEN, THEN HE SHOULD KEEP THE FANS ON TO PROVIDE ENOUGH VENTILATION OR HAVE THE WORK DONE AFTER THE FACILITY IS CLOSED. WORK IS TO BE COMPLETED SOME TIME NEXT WEEK.
I DID LET THE VILLAGE OF BRADLEY KNOW ABOUT THE USE OF THE CRANE WHEN THERE WERE CUSTOMERS INSIDE. THE CRANE WAS BEING USED TO LIGHTLY LIFT UP SOME OF THE CONDENSER UNITS TO MAKE SURE THE ROOF WAS REPAIRED TIGHTLY AROUND THOSE AREAS. |
